Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Halloween 2012

October is coming up pretty soon and if you know one thing about me it's that October is my favorite month of the year and my biggest month here on dA. Unfortunately we were not able to do anything last year, but hopefully everything will work out this year and more people will join this project. For those who don't know, each Friday of October we post a different ID we make for Halloween involving a previously selected theme. This year, I picked the following themes, taking a broader approach.

Halloween 2012 ID Project

week 1: Final Fantasy Summon Week > dress up (your ID) as your favorite Final Fantasy summoned creature!

week 2: One Piece Week > pick and be your favorite pirate!

week 3: 2012 Post-apocalyptic week (in honor of this being 2012) > Just think: the world ended, but you did not!

week 4: Random Week (pick your theme) > Pick your theme and have fun with it!

October 31st: 80's Horror Movie > Self-explanatory!

You can make each ID and upload them on Fridays and on Halloween. If you can't make one or two of them, that's alright, the goal here is to have fun and enjoy Halloween as a month-long thing and not just one day.

As an individual project I'm going to hold a 31 Nights of Halloween where I'll upload a drawing everyday. Expect the unexpected! and the expected too!

Already working on things for week three. (amongst other things)
Some of our friends and neighbors here in Brooklyn throw a big Halloween spectacle in their front yard for the kids.
The New York Times once said their place is one of the top three places in all of NYC to take your kids trick or treating. This year's spectacle is based on week three's theme.
